Countdown to International Women's Day!

Every day at Adelante Mujeres is Women’s Day, but on March 8th every year, celebrating women’s accomplishments is a global movement called International Women’s Day!

International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, as well as call for a more gender-balanced world.

We might have to fight for it, but the future is bright for women. Through education, leadership training, and enterprise opportunities, we see women rising up in their communities every day. Latina women are finding their voices, taking action, and becoming leaders. They are receiving their GEDs, starting their own businesses, organizing events, and young women in our Chicas program are enrolling in college to pursue STEM careers! The future is bright indeed.

But to have a truly gender-balanced world, we know we have a lot of work to do in order to make up for generations of sexism and limited opportunities for empowerment and education for Latina women. We are on a mission to build a more just society by empowering Latinas to lead.

Between February 11th and March 10th, we have a goal of raising $5,000 for our empowering programs for women in honor of International Women’s Day, and you can join us in raising those funds!
