Helping women start 2021 with health, wellness, and leadership

As we end one of the most difficult years for most of the population in the world, we have the opportunity to start a new year. As I spent the last week reflecting on the last year, I discovered that everyone needed to adapt — to change, and change can’t be easy when the outside circumstances are the ones forcing us to change.

As a parent, teacher, and educator, I can say that new years are so invigorating — full of new changes, new resolutions, new beginnings, and endless possibilities.

But why do we have a difficult time keeping all of the promises and changes we wrote and verbalized? Why is it so hard to maintain that exhilaration and energy through the year?

It makes me think of an article I read which said:

“No matter how many good intentions we have (lose weight, eat better, do more exercise, or change that bad habit), we are not in charge of every detail, and we are at the mercy of so many things which we have no control over.”

This includes whatever we can do to remind ourselves of our small intentions, like, using notebooks and vision boards to keep our goals and resolutions alive.

In our parenting classes, we provide as much support to our families and women as possible by creating health and wellness goals.

In this new coming year, we will increase our parenting classes and parent-children activities to empower families to be leaders in communities, schools, and homes.

We are looking forward to this new coming year to work with all of our Latin families and share the knowledge and friendship.
