At the end of each school year, Chicas celebrates all of the girls' accomplishments from the year. This year, we served over 600 girls through our Chicas Program. Here are some of the moments from this year's Chicas Graduation Celebrations.

This year at the May Day March and Rally staff and Adelante participants from our Adult Education and Immigrant Solidarity Programs marched for Driver’s Licenses for All, Education Funding, and Paid Family and Medical Leave! Adelante!

Bridget and I boarded a plane in the early hours of Tuesday morning heading to NYC to accept the Allstate and Atlantic Renewal Awards on behalf of Adelante Mujeres.

We were informed that 9,300 nonprofits across the nation applied for this grant. Adelante was 1 of 5 winners chosen because the judges were impressed with the innovative grassroots solutions we are providing to community problems.

Early Childhood Education is a huge part of our work here at Adelante Mujeres. So when the Early Childhood Coalition Lobby Day in Salem rolled around, we jumped in. Adelante Mujeres Early Childhood Education staff and women in our Adult Education Program attended.

Our first annual Dia del Agricultor Latino was a success! Held at Our Table Cooperative in Sherwood Oregon, this full day of workshops was packed with information about Sustainable Farming, all taught in Spanish.

On November 8th, Windermere awarded Adelante Mujeres a $5,000 grant to support our Adult Education and Early Childhood Education programs.

Inside Hortensia’s classroom there is always something fun going on. It feels like a party: singing, dancing, arts and crafts, dressing up in costumes. The children laugh and play, create and dance.
